Preserve the ‘Burg Launches Self-Guided Tour Booklet

Preserve the ‘Burg’s Historic St. Petersburg Self-Guided Tour booklet is hot off the press! We are looking forward to the day when, as planned, the guide will be available at no cost at Preserve the ‘Burg tours and events, as well as through the Chamber of Commerce, local hotels, and tourism offices. But for now, we’d love to get a copy into your hands to entertain you while we are all practicing “safer at home” guidelines. Here’s how:

Click here to place an order to have the book mailed to you. We ask just $10 to cover shipping and handling (and a little extra for PTB!) We will have it in the mail to you posthaste!

For those who were registered for an event that was cancelled due to the pandemic, and gifted their admission fee to PTB as a donation, we will be sending you a copy at no charge as a thank you. (But feel free to order more for friends!)

And for all you trivia buffs out there…In the coming days, Preserve the ‘Burg will unveil a number of games and activities related to the tour book. So get your copy today and get ready! After you’ve read it thoroughly you can test your skills against other ‘Burgers! Plus, when we can again fling our doors wide, you’ll be equipped with St. Pete historical knowledge that will impress your friends and wow your visitors!

Order the book online here.

Florida Humanities Has Stories to Share!

While we are on the topic of self-guided tours….don’t forget about the Florida Stories walking tour app that Preserve the ‘Burg produced several years ago with funding from Florida Humanities. It’s the the perfect stay-at-home-while-visiting-Florida experience for you!

Florida Humanities “Florida Stories”  is your personal walking tour guide to a variety of Florida towns, big & small. The growing list of tours contain an audio narration and synchronized photos, giving one a unique “behind the scene” view of specific towns throughout Florida. All tours, including St. Pete’s, are easily accessible on the free Florida Humanities Council “Florida Stories” app here.
