Tampa Bay baseball fans are invited to celebrate one of the greatest players in franchise history during Longo’s Legacy Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12, at Tropicana Field and Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill.
The Tampa Bay Rays will honor legendary third baseman Evan Longoria with an unforgettable two-day celebration as he is officially inducted into the Rays Hall of Fame on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., followed by the retirement of his iconic No. 3 jersey during a special ceremony on approx. 1:00PM Sunday, July 12.
Longoria helped define an era of Rays baseball, earning three All-Star selections, three Gold Glove Awards, and establishing himself as one of the most beloved players in franchise history. His leadership, clutch performances, and unforgettable moments helped transform the Rays into a perennial contender and forever cemented his place in Tampa Bay sports history.
The celebration continues just across the street at Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill, where thousands of Rays fans are expected to gather for pregame and postgame parties throughout the weekend. The highlight of the festivities will be a special live concert at Ferg’s Pavilion featuring the platinum-selling rock band Tantric, performing the powerful hit “Down and Out,” the unforgettable walk-up song that became synonymous with Longoria throughout his Rays career.
