City of Seminole Announces Music in the Park Series
The City of Seminole Recreation Department invites the community to enjoy its annual Music in the Park concert series, presented in part by McDermott Law Firm, P.A., on Fridays from September 11 through October 9 at Seminole City Park. The free, family-friendly concert series will take place each Friday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and features five weeks of live entertainment, food vendors, and community fun for all ages. The series kicks off on Friday, September 11, with a special tribute recognizing the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. An opening ceremony and moment of silence will begin at 6:45pm, followed by an all-American music performance by the Chris Robert Band from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. St. Pete Beach Back to School Supply Drive
St. Pete Beach Fire & Rescue is hosting a Back to School Supply Drive through August 7th. You can help local school-age children by donating the following preferred school supplies: backpacks, pencils, pens, paper, headphones, binders, highlighters. crayons, glue, notebooks, and rulers. Limited-Edition Jerseys Support Local Conservation
The Dunedin Blue Jays have teamed up with Keep Pinellas Beautiful to auction off special-edition “Rain Delay” jerseys from the 2026 season. Proceeds will support local conservation and cleanup efforts across Pinellas County. GECKOFEST Theme: Gecko Music Awards
Gulfport’s 26th annual GECKOFEST promises a full day of family-friendly fun on Saturday, September 5 10am-8pm. The streets of this historic waterfront village will come alive with a stellar lineup of live music, delicious food and beverage vendors, and curated art and craft booths. Adding to the festival’s vibrant rhythm, the streets will double as a stage for up-close-and-personal performances by a bevy of acrobats, magicians, daredevils, aerialists, fire eaters, balloon artists & more.

Water Shortage Order Extended
With drought conditions continuing and rainfall below average, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has extended its Modified Phase III Water Shortage Order through October 1. Reduced watering hours remain in effect from 12:01–4 a.m. or 8–11:59 p.m. to limit evaporation. Pinellas County Utilities customers can check updated watering schedules, conservation tips, and Florida-Friendly Landscaping guidance at pinellas.gov/water-conservation, while others should confirm restrictions with their local water provider.
