St. Pete City Theatre Presents The Suffragette’s Murder
If you enjoy a good mystery with a little history mixed in, St. Pete City Theatre presents The Suffragette’s Murder, running September 18–27. Set in a Manhattan boarding house in 1857, the story follows an eclectic group of tenants preparing a secret gathering for the budding women’s suffrage movement when a constable arrives after one of them is found murdered. What follows is an elaborate ruse as the unlikely group bands together to throw the constable off their scent.

Celebrate Oktoberfest
Get ready for a weekend of German food, music and fun at the Tampa Bay German American Society Oktoberfest on Friday and Saturday, September 25–26. Friday’s festivities begin at 5pm, while Saturday starts at noon, with live music, dancing, vendors, food and a Kinder Corner throughout the day. Both evenings feature the Parade of Flags, Gulf Coast Enzianer Schuhplattler Verein dancers, bier stein-holding contests and raffle drawings, with the fun going until 10pm. Festivities continue next two weekends.

American Stage’s production of A Night with Janis Joplin continues this week!
