With affordable fares and convenient departures Wednesday – Sunday, it’s a great way to get to your favorite destinations in Downtown Tampa. You board at the Vinoy Basin in St. Petersburg. The Sundial Garage is three blocks away with an entrance located on 2nd St., south of 2nd Ave. N. Ask on the ferry for a parking pass for the Sundial Garage to get free parking for that day. There is also limited availability of metered surface parking spaces in downtown St. Pete and most have time limits. There are 3 accessible spaces along the east side of Bayshore Drive Northeast, just north of the ferry. The route from there to the vessel and the ferry is accessible.
St. Petersburg Transit Connections
The St. Petersburg Ferry Terminal is served by two transit lines and a bike share service. The Free of Charge Looper Trolley, available throughout downtown, has a stop on 1st Ave. N. at the Sundial Garage, is accessible to persons with disabilities, and has a stop directly in front of the Ferry Terminal. The Looper Trolley runs until 10pm Sunday-Thursday, and until midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Visit discoverdowntown.com for Looper schedule. The Central Avenue Trolley runs to St. Pete’s Downtown Waterfront at 2nd Avenue NE and Bayshore Dr., along Central Ave. from St. Pete Beach. Bicycle Connections
Coast Bike Share also operates a bike-share program in St. Petersburg with a hub located at the Ferry Terminal site and other locations around Downtown. Coast members enjoy reciprocity with the bike share program in Tampa and are encouraged to use their membership on both sides of their ferry trip. Go to coaststpete.com for more. Due to construction at the St. Pete Pier, the intersection of 2nd Ave. NE and Bayshore Dr. is closed. Motorists intending to park or drop off passengers at the ferry terminal should plan to arrive via 4th Ave. NE or Central Ave. and follow the signed detours to approach the Ferry on Bayshore Dr. from 5th Ave. N.
