OKTOBERFEST On 10/14 from 11am-5pm, 3 Daughters  Brewing’s Inaugural Bavarian Celebration will polka at Albert Whitted Park with beer, traditional German food, live Polka music, VW car show and games as well as market vendors and food trucks. The Brussel Sprouts perform 11am-2pm followed by The Keytunes. There are stein holding contests, best dressed outfit (don those Lederhosen), Oktoberfest games and crafts. THE COCKTAIL HOUR Sea Salt’s new Happy Hour includes a happy hour menu (fish tacos, ceviche cocktail best of show), $1 Gulf Oysters Sun.-Thurs. 3-6pm, $5 draft beers, $6 mixed well drinks, $7 bubbly, white and rose or $8 reds on selected wines.  At DTSP’s Ceviche, customers rave about the exquisite Spanish tapas and seafood. Bar manager and mixologist Jackie Eash wanted the wine and cocktail selection to enhance those fabulous flavors. In the past two years, Jackie has more than doubled Ceviche’s wine list and her innovative cocktail list features the signature Gettin’ Chili With It (Mezcal Siete Misterios, Anch Reyes Chile Verde, watermelon syrup, fresh lime juice, agave, and a splash of soda). Her wine list just won another Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, and her Spanglish was named one of the top 30 tequila cocktails in the country by Forbes this summer. Congrats, Jackie!

GOOD DEED DRINK Nestled on the northern tip of South Carolina’s Isle of Palms; Wild Dunes Resort occupies 1,600 acres of oceanfront paradise where you can help save a turtle by sipping a Tipsy Turtle; a portion of the proceeds are donated to the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Care Center.  Ingredients 1.5 oz Rumhaven Coconut Rum, .25 oz Blue Curacao, 4 oz pineapple Juice, orange slice, Maraschino cherry Instructions Combine coconut rum with blue curacao and pineapple juice. Shake or pour in and out of a mixing glass with ice. Build in Rocks glass, or a glass of your preference with ice and garnish with a cherry, half-moon orange slice and toy turtle.
