Find Out How to Get Your Mobility Back: Robert King, LMT, Muscular & Structural Rehabilitation

“I was going to get a NEW HIP on Thursday, I am NOT going to do that now.” – recent client

Robert King, LMT, Muscular & Structural Rehabilitation specialist has served his clients for over 10 years by providing highly effective hands-on techniques that help increase mobility, decrease pain, and create freedom from long-term injuries and misalignment.

A recent client experiencing severe pain was concerned that the shots she had received were not helping much and more shots might not help either. During the first three sessions, Robert began myofascial release and myoskeletal alignment techniques to activate the muscles which were not firing, quiet down the muscles that were overactive and soothe the fascial tissue allowing for increased muscular and skeletal function. The client experienced an immediate decrease in discomfort and increased function. On session #4, the client turned to Robert and told him, “You know, I was going to get a new hip on Thursday [four days in the future], I am not going to do that now.” Since that time, his client’s progress has been steady and ever-increasing towards full mobility and experiencing days with no pain.

Robert’s optometrist had a significant limp, having suffered a severe skiing accident 18 months earlier. After his eye examination he asked if he could watch her walk to provide her with a “gait analysis.”  Upon visual analysis, he suggested that myofascial release and myoskeletal realignment techniques could assist her. The first and second sessions provided new relief from the tension and pain that she had been experiencing for 18 months during which she had worked with physical therapists, neurologists, orthopedists and chiropractors without much relief. Not one of these professionals ever asked to see her walk to provide a gait analysis. For the third session, Robert applied a myoskeletal technique which realigned her hip bone to move her injured leg into a more congruent pattern. Upon standing up the client exclaimed “my leg is straight.”  The rehabilitative work continues to improve both the alignment of the leg and ease of ambulatory motion.

Robert holds continuing education training certifications in Myofascial Release, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Structural Energetic Therapy®, Neuromuscular Therapies, Pre/Post Surgery Scar Tissue Release, Active Isolated Stretching, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Soothing Relaxation Massage to provide foundational long-term health and wellness.
