Welcome back to Paradise News’s monthly frequency. After our June-July and August-September summer issues, we love to buckle down to the monthly deadlines. We are thrilled to report that advertising activity here is on the increase. We even added four pages to the issue.
The Wharf Waterfront Restaurant & Bar sponsored our Halloween themed cover story this month. The Wharf has been a very faithful advertiser with us. I am thrilled to report that the real estate market locally is showing some positive trends. Thankfully, we have a fair number of very loyal advertisers that have been with us for years and deserve your thank-you too. In the August/September publisher’s message, I told you about my recent health accomplishments, being declared cancer-free and getting a certified used heart warranty from one of the best heart surgeons on the West Coast of Florida. This issue, I can tell you that Renee had the kind of experience with cataract surgery at St. Luke’s that one prays for. Our Humana Gold Plus Give Back Medicare Advantage plan got us into Dr. Colin Chan’s amazing care and took us both through surgery without too much trouble. Embracing Dr. Chan’s modified concierge program has made all sorts of alternative therapies available to us too. Our friends Rebecca and Ray rave about the care and the options he provides for them too.
As the weather begins to cool, more and more outdoor events come up. Every Friday in October there’s a free concert at Horan Park in St. Pete Beach. There’s Clearwater Jazz outdoors in mid-October (15-18) and the 35th Suncoast Jazz Festival returns to the Sheraton Sand Key November 20-22.
Next month, in our Nov. issue, we will start to list holiday events like tree lightings, holiday markets, and lighted boat parades. The entire edition will lean towards giving thanks for, among other blessings, another storm-free summer. Thanks for reading Paradise News.
