Meet Jeannine from Mystical Silk!

At home in Wisconsin, Jeannine was trapped in the corporate world. She hung in as the recession left many without jobs.  A lover of song and dance, Jeannine always had an urge to create and share happiness. For Christmas 2009 her sister gave her a girl’s day out, including a silk scarf painting class!  Jeannine fell in love with the mixing of colors, the brightness, and how happy it made her feel. A new adventure was born!  She knew this was her medium to share brightness and happiness with as many people as she could.

Her creations include silk scarves and wraps, eyeglass holders, bamboo headbands and caps, even printed cards
and bookmarks.

All pieces are lovingly painted freehand with a brush, and she uses a “Gutta Resist” for her drawing. Each piece takes about 3-5 days start to finish depending on the intricacy of the drawing.  She has built wonderful relationships with so many market customers and is now also creating custom orders.

Jeannine joined Tampa Bay Markets in 2017. You can find her Mystical Silk Fridays/Saturdays at the Dunedin Downtown Market and on Sundays on Corey Ave.,10am-2pm through May, 9am-1pm June-Sept.
