Mote & Combat Wounded Veterans Helping to Restore Our Reefs

mote-marine-logoThe coral reef restoration project at our Lab in the Florida Keys has brought the Combat Wounded Veterans Challenge (CWV), the Scubanauts Int’l Kids Scuba team, and the Gold Star Families (Families who have lost a loved one to war) together to help restore our reefs. Now in its 4th year, the results have been both spectacular and heartwarming.

The CWV Challenge members are a group of former U.S. Military who have suffered a loss of limb or endured a traumatic injury in combat. To see these brave people, who have given so much, courageously jump at the chance to again to make a difference by helping to restore our planet and to work with kids, is truly amazing.

The dive event is scheduled for Monday July 20th, 2015 at Mote’s Tropical Research Lab in Summerland Key.
