The Morean Arts Center is inviting the entire community to carve out some good times with family and friends this year. The community arts organization is hosting an online pumpkin carving contest from September 28 to October 17. The nominal entry fee of $10 helps to sustain the Morean’s mission of connecting the community with Arts.
There will be prizes of $100 Morean Gift Cards awarded to the winners in each category, youth and adult. The gift cards can be redeemed for gift shop purchases, classes or Morean memberships. Submissions will be due by October 17th and will be managed through photos submitted thru email and social media hashtags “MOREANFALLFUN.”
The Morean hosted more than 2,000 children and families for FREE make-n-take art experiences at their downtown and warehouse district facilities last year. This past summer, they supported more than 1,000 children and families with creative delivery of virtual summer camp experiences, Fun Art Boxes distributed through the City of St. Petersburg’s Park and Recreation Department and online workshops this summer.
They are currently hosting the Saturdays at the Morean (downtown) and Sundays at the Morean (Morean Center for Clay in the warehouse district) with reduced capacity and online pre-registration required for the FREE art experiences.
