Free, 10am-5pm, Mon.-Sat., The Morean Center for the Arts, 719 Central Ave., St. Pete. The work of three seniors in the Pinellas County Center for the Arts program at Gibbs High School is highlighted. Seniors in the visual art department must develop a cohesive body of work that describes an in-depth exploration of a particular artistic concern or visual idea. The three students chosen were given their own solo shows. The last student exhibition is for Khloe Temple, 5/9-29.

Through 5/30 – (Un)Natural Geographies: The Maps of Ibrahim Miranda and Erin Oliver
Free, Wild Space Gallery, 2606 Fairfield Ave. S, Bldg. #7, St. Pete. The Maps of Ibrahim Miranda and Erin Oliver presents two international artists with distinctive approaches to cartography through the lens of Cuba and Florida. Miranda applies traditional techniques like woodcut and silkscreen printing to Cuban maps dense with scientific data, then overlays textures and figurative elements to create a visual language closer to painting. Oliver renders fluid marks onto mylar site maps of Florida’s underground karst formations and contradicts the certainty of the mapped data to evoke a corporeal experience of the physical land.

Through 6/14 – Alt Tampa
$10-$12, 10am-5pm Tues-Sat.; 12-5 Sun, Tampa Museum of Photographic Arts, 1630 E Seventh Ave., Ybor City, Tampa. St. Petersburg Month of Photography’s 2025 Photo Laureate Jesi Cason captures this largely unseen world through bold, expressive portraits. Her work honors individuals who embody an alternative history of the region while confronting the growing pressures of development that threaten these spaces.
