Madeira Beach Beach Parking Goes Coinless Starting August 1st!

Beginning on Thursday, August 1, 2019, the City of Madeira Beach parking kiosks will only accept payments with credit and debit cards or either of the two smartphone apps associated with the parking system.

The Park Mobile and Way to Park apps allow users to pay to park for up to 8 hours and then add more time right from their phone without having to return to the kiosk. Parking in Madeira beach city-owned lots and spaces is $2.50 per hour.

“By eliminating coins, we are responding to how the vast majority of our customers pay for parking,” said Brian Rau, City of Madeira Beach Parking Supervisor. The city tested going coinless at the Archibald Memorial Beach Park in June and received no complaints.

Visitors can purchase a City of Madeira Beach parking pass, $40 for one week or $90 per month that allows unlimited parking in city-owned lots and spaces. The pass can be obtained at Madeira Beach City Hall, 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach.

Madeira Beach provides complimentary parking to veterans with the following license plates:
• Ex-prisoner of war
• Pearl Harbor survivor
• Medal of Honor
• Purple Heart
• Disabled Veteran

Residents park for free in Madeira Beach! Resident means a person who owns or leases real property within a residential area of the city and who maintains either a voting residence or bona fide occupancy or both at that address, as evidenced by a voter’s registration card, real estate tax bill, lease agreement, or other proof of residency satisfactory to the city.
