Long considered a global hub for death metal, the Tampa Bay region has fostered a network of communities (goths, punks, ravers, and others) who have built a city within a city grounded in self-expression and belonging. St. Petersburg Month of Photography’s 2025 Photo Laureate Jesi Cason captures this largely unseen world through bold, expressive portraits.

6/3-28 – The Hot Wing King

It’s time for the annual “Hot Wang Festival” in Memphis, Tennessee, and Cordell Crutchfield is spicing up the competition with wings worthy of a crown! 6/5 – The Dali Dozen: 10-Year Anniversary
$30 members/$45 non-members, 6:30-9pm, The Dali Museum, St. Pete. This 10-year anniversary of The Dalí Dozen is an exclusive one-night event featuring 12 local artists. Guests may view a variety of works from the featured artists including photography, painting, sculptures and more. 6/5-6 – Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series: St. Petersburg
For the first time, the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series comes to the Gulf Coast, and St. Petersburg – and The Pier – is hosting. Women will launch from 69 feet, men from 89 feet) heights that demand a rare combination of explosive power and absolute precision. In the two to three seconds of freefall between take-off and entry, the world’s best cliff divers execute complex multi-axis twists and somersaults before hitting the Bay waters at close to 53 mph. 6/6 – 14th Annual Caribbean Heritage Festival
Free, 4-10pm, Victor Crist Community Center, 14013 N 22nd St., Tampa. This outdoor event celebrates the rich heritage of the Caribbean islands. Immerse yourself in the rhythmic beats of Caribbean music, savor the flavors of traditional dishes, and experience the lively dances that will transport you to the islands. 6/6 – Symphony By The Sea
Free, 7:30pm, The Baycare Sound, 255 Drew St., Clearwater. The Florida Orchestra performs movie music, Broadway hits and classical favorites. No need to bring a picnic or chairs – the waterfront venue will provide plenty of covered seating and local food trucks, concessions and bars. Gates open at 5pm.

6/6 – World Oceans Day at Clearwater Marine Aquarium
Free event (enter through 4th floor of parking garage) 10am-2pm, 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater. Meet the people behind Tampa Bay’s marine conservation efforts and learn how you can make a tangible difference in ocean health. Meet representatives in the fourth-floor ballroom from 50 local and national exhibitors, including Ocean Conservancy & Sea Turtle Trackers, as well as local experts from Audubon Florida, Seaside Seabird Sanctuary and Tampa Bay Watch. 6/6 – Madeira Beach Night Market

6/6-7 – Third Annual Blue Crabs & R&B Festival
Free admission, 2-8pm, Tropicana Field Lot 1. Bring the heat with the freshest blue crabs in the bay, soulful R&B, and a $500 Crab Cookoff. This isn’t your average seafood boil – we’re talking live music that’ll have you grooving while you’re cracking shells, food trucks serving up everything coastal, and local vendors bringing that Tampa Bay flavor. 6/6-9/3 – Leonard Baskin: Leaders of the Constitution, 1787
$10 donation, Tues-Sat: 10am-5pm, Sun 1-5pm, Leepa Ratner Museum of Art, 600 E. Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, LRMA presents Leonard Baskin: Leaders of the Constitution, 1787. This powerful series of portraits honors the visionaries who shaped the foundation of American democracy. Baskin’s compelling portraits capture 12 influential delegates of the Constitutional Convention. A selection of six portraits is accompanied by interpretive texts detailing each delegate’s role in the 1787 convention. 

6/7 – St. Pete Pride Family Day

6/9 – The 2026 St. Petersburg Mayoral Debate
Free, 5:30pm, auditorium, The President Barack Obama Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N. Hear directly from those seeking to lead St. Petersburg and to understand who is prepared to continue moving the city forward. Hosted by NAACP St. Petersburg Branch No.5130, in partnership with the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African-American Museum of Florida.

6/10 – Edible Surrealism: A Dalí-Inspired Culinary Competition

In conjunction with the Dali Museum’s special exhibition Dalí in America, The Chef Upstairs presents Edible Surrealism – a culinary-art experience inspired by Salvador Dalí’s Dizzy Dalí Dinner, reimagined as an interactive plated competition. 6/10-7/13 – Sacred Pilgrimage: Gaudi and Galban – 100th Anniversary Reception

6/11-21– Gulfport Community Players present “End of the Rainbow”

6/12 – St. Petersburg Summer Band Camp 2026 Showcase
Free, 12pm, Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 955 20th St. S, St. Pete. The culminating performance of the St. Petersburg Summer Band Camp 2026 features 150 young musicians who will have spent five days training in the HBCU band tradition. Full band. Drum line. Brass. 6/12 – Tarpon Rodeo
The Tarpon Rodeo is the annual all catch-and-release tournament held by Tampa Bay Watch to benefit the group’s restoration projects and education programs. Anglers will compete in a half-day tournament. Tournament runs 7am-1pm. Fish are logged in by the boat captain or a team representative on an app and judged by a professional app representative. 6/12-14 – St. Pete Beach Seafood Festival

6/15 – Arts Legacy Remix: Sixth Annual Juneteenth Commemoration

The evening recognizes the importance of Juneteenth, the date when enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they had set free, with spoken remembrances, writings of historical importance and an original performance of music, poetry and dance created especially for the event.

6/23 – FLORIBUNDA: Botanical Paintings by Mary Grieco and Richard Seidel
Free, 6-7pm, Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave. Longtime artists Mary Grieco and Richard Seidel will talk about their work that will be displayed in the Morean June 6-25. The artists, who met in a Morean painting class many years ago, continue to return to the image of a flower as a regular motif. Richard continually observes and sketches his environment and uses those drawings as references for his delightfully whimsical paintings. Mary uses real and imaginary flowers to create compositions that explore gestural movement.

6/27 – St. Pete Pride Trans March & Festival
Free, 2-7pm, Vinoy Park, 701 Bayshore Drive NE, St. Pete. The festival will begin at 2 p.m. on both sides of the parade route. North Straub Park will have a variety of local vendors, food trucks, a DJ, and a beer garden. North and South Straub Parks will host the main entertainment stages. The Trans March will step off in Vinoy Park at 5:15 p.m., followed by the St. Pete Pride Parade, which steps off at 6 p.m. from Albert Whitted Park north to Vinoy Park along Bayshore Drive.

6/27-28 – Store Signing: Tia Ballard and Laura Wetsel
Free admission, 6/27: 10am-6pm/ 6/28: 11am-4pm, Pops N Son Collectibles, 6980 Park Blvd, Pinellas Park. Two great anime voices will be in store: Laura Wetsel, the voice of Jewelry Bonney from One Piece, and Tia Ballard, who voices Carrot, Porche, Happy, Nanami and more!

6/28 – Tri-If-You-Dare Youth Triathlon
$75 registration, 7am, Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St. N, Seminole. The reverse triathlon is open to children ages 5- 12 and features age-based running, biking, and swimming distances in a fun and safe environment. Stretching along the Grand Central District, this lively event features local vendors, small businesses, community organizations, and live performances that showcase the diversity and creativity of our community. 

7/1 – The Princess Concert

7/3-4 – Clearwater Celebrates America
Free, 5-11pm both days, Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater. This two-day festival will feature silent disco, dedicated kids zone with performance by Mr. Brad, four stages, mix of international and local musical performances, laser light show, Clearwater Celebrates Talent, giveaways, local food vendors, buskers, fireworks and more. July 3 will feature a Laser Light Show at appropriately 9:15 p.m., and July 4 will have a patriotic fireworks show at appropriately 9:15 p.m. 

7/4 – St. Pete Pier Run the 4th
$65.15, first wave 6:15am, 600 Second Ave. NE, St. Pete. Gather your friends and family and kick off your 4th of July celebrations with the Sixth Annual St. Pete Pier Run! The beautiful, flat and fast 4-mile course begins on the St. Pete Pier near Spa Beach, goes along the scenic St. Pete waterfront, and finishes on the Pier. 7/4 – Fourth of July Pops Spectacular
$56 and up,  6pm, Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St. S, St. Pete. Join the St. Pete Opera for a spectacular evening of music and celebration for America’s Birthday! A moving musical celebration of the 250th Independence Day of the United States bringing together friends, family, and community for a night of inspiring music. 7/4 – Red, White and Blue on the Bay

Enjoy an evening filled with live music from the Zac Brown Band, local vendors, and a great community atmosphere as we celebrate the Fourth of July together. Stick around as the night wraps up with a fireworks show over the bay at 9pm. Parking available at the Rec Center, City Hall, and various paid lots throughout the city. 7/4 – Indie*pendence BBQ and Block Party
Free admission ($25 for concert), 6pm, VFW Post 392599 Central Ave, St Pete. St. Pete’s premier alternative July 4th tradition is back for its fifth anniversary! The post is taking over Central Avenue with the ultimate Night Market and BBQ blowout. The post has pooled the best local BBQ food truck, vendors, creators, and smokehouse masters for a block party that defines the St. Pete vibe. Head inside for the main event—high-fidelity Alternative Rock and Hip-Hop performances by Esara, Code Savi, Guilty by Design, with more artists to be announced.

7/4 – Gulfport Independence Day Celebration
The celebration begins at 9am at Gulfport City Hall with the opening of “The Spirit of ’76 Half Century Time Capsule,” commemorating the nation’s Bicentennial with brief remarks and a photo opportunity. Activities continue at Tomlinson Park, where a Family Fun Day will take place from 10am-2pm, with a community parade at 11am. Then, downtown in the waterfront an amazing fireworks display by Pyro Productions will be launched from the Williams Pier at 9pm. 7/4 – Fourth of July Island Sunset and Fireworks Cruise

7/4 – Treasure Island 4th of July Fireworks
Free, 9pm. Celebrate America by watching the city of Treasure Island light up with a spectacular fireworks show on the beach. Fireworks will be shot from the beach near Gulf Front Park, located at 10400 Gulf Blvd. Bring a beach chair or towel and enjoy the show. Due to Florida’s unpredictable weather, a final decision on whether to cancel the show will not be made until Friday, July 4. Stay tuned to Treasure Island’s social media pages for updates.

7/4 – Independence Day celebration along Riverwalk|Free admission. 7/18-19 – PAVA Cool Art Show
