Every other Sunday • 9am-noon, Organic Farming at Eco-Village, 302 15th St. N, St. Pete. Volunteer in a community garden that provides access to fresh organic produce, opportunities for physical activity, connection with nature.

Through Monday, July 25 –Arts Summer School Grants

Applications are open through July 25 for grants for area arts summer camps for ages 8 through 15. Eligible campers, who include students who attend Title 1 schools, receive a reduced or free lunch, live in designated neighborhoods, or meet other requirements, can apply directly to Creative Pinellas for a grant to attend a session of an arts-related camp program this summer. Through July 31 – Ansel Adams/Clyde Butcher dual exhibits  NEW

$10 and up, The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, 150 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. The Ansel Adams traveling exhibition “The Masterworks,” includes 32 black and white gelatin silver prints spanning four decades, capturing national parks, the people of New Mexico, and the ever-changing landscapes of America. Clyde Butcher’s “America the Beautiful” exhibit reveals wild and natural places where few humans have ventured. Through Monday, August 22 – Gio Swaby
$15 and up, Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Dr. NE, St. Petersburg. The work of multidisciplinary artist Gio Swaby explores the intersection of Blackness and womanhood. Working with textile materials associated with domesticity, she renders her subjects in freehand lines of threads, shown on the reverse side of the canvas so that the stitching process is visible. 727-894-4638 mfastpete.org

To celebrate the 100th birthday of Judy Garland, the Beach Theater summer film series “Judy At 100” will be a retrospective of four of her iconic on-screen performances. Wednesday, June 1-Thursday, June 30 – Artout: Queering the Pandemic Exhibit  NEW
Free; 10am-7pm Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday; Gulfport Public Library, 5501 28th Ave. S, Gulfport. In its sixth year, this international juried exhibit will feature artwork created by LGBTQ+ artists and allies that is inspired by experiences in life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Saturday June 4, and Sunday, June 5 – Tampa City Ballet presents Carmen 2022
$68.75, 7pm Saturday/3pm Sunday, Straz Center, 1010 N MacInness Place Tampa. This new production will feature 28 dancers in a multi-disciplinary fusion of ballet, art, contemporary dance, opera, flamenco-inspired movement, and dramatic raw emotions set to George Bizet’s score. Thursday, June 16 – Online Grief Support Conversation with Empath Health  NEW
Free/online, 7-8pm, Gallery at Creative Pinellas. An online program on grief support with Kathleen Quance, Senior Counselor, Empath Health’s Community Counseling program. Quance will talk about grief, anxiety, resources, and coping strategies as well as answer questions submitted in advance. Questions can be submitted until June 8 to info@creativepinellas.org. This event is in conjunction with The Things They Left Behind: Grief, Discovery, and Remembrance exhibit at the Gallery at Creative Pinellas. The exhibit closes June 26.

Thursday, June 23 – WE Convene: Economic Needs and Well-being for Artists NEW

Sunday, June 26 – Pride in Grand Central Street Carnival  NEW
Free, 11am-5pm, near the 1800 block of Central Avenue, St. Petersburg. St. Pete Pride’s popular Sunday street festival will be reimagined as a carnival, bringing tens of thousands of all ages to the Grand Central District to enjoy block after block of entertainment, vendors, food, community partners, and interactive carnival games. With multiple performance stages, roaming street performers, and hundreds of participating businesses and organizations, there will be something for everyone.

Wednesday, June 29 – The Masked Singer Live  NEW

A roadshow version of the FOX television show, audiences will see their favorite characters from the singing competition, new singing and dancing performances and surprise celebrity guests and hosts. Thursday, June 29-Sunday, July 31 – The Dutchman  NEW
$30-$75, times vary by date, American Stage, Raymond James Theatre, 163 Third St. N, St. Petersburg. Written by Leroi Jones/Amiri Baraka, the play presents an encounter between a white woman and a Black man on a subway car in New York City. The interaction takes a tragic turn and is used as a metaphor for race relations in America. Friday, July 8 – iBOMS: “Xebra” exhibition opening  NEW
Free, 6-9pm, D-Gallerie, 1234 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N, Unit C, St. Petersburg. This solo exhibition will highlight the latest work of local artist iBOMS. In his artist statement, iBOMS says his character, Xebra, “is based on existence as an emerging artist in a world and city in the midst of a reboot.”

July 18-22 – Museum of Fine Arts Art & Nature Camp  NEW

Friday, August 5 – Fifth Annual Bolts Brew Fest  NEW

Saturday, August 13 – Angel Outreach Craft and Treasures Sale  NEW
Free, 9am-2pm, Pasadena Community Church, 227 70th St. S, St. Petersburg. Nearly 50 vendors will offer crafts and treasures such as pottery,  jewelry, hand-painted china, woodwork, and fabric creations. Proceeds will benefit Angel Outreach’s efforts to help the less fortunate at holidays and assist local students with shoes and school uniforms.
