Free, Wild Space Gallery, The Factory St. Pete, Bldg. 8, 2606 Fairfield Ave. S, St. Pete. The exhibit, inside the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, features work by Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse that focuses on warming of our oceans to include the waters in the interior of Florida.

1/4-7 – Gaspar The Musical

In this tale created by St. Pete residents Constantine Grame and Bill Leavengood, legendary pirate Jose Gaspar is magically transported through time to modern day Tampa Bay, while his identical counterpart, Joe Wright, a Florida politician running for governor, finds himself captaining the pirate ship, Floriblanca, in 1723. https://mypalladium.org

1/6 – Youth America Grand Prix Gala
$35, 8pm, Straz Center, Tampa. “Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow” features the top winners of the YAGP international student ballet competition and guest stars from the world’s leading dance companies. Proceeds go directly toward scholarships for gifted young dance students who wish to pursue a professional career in dance – and to help YAGP’s efforts to help displaced Ukrainian dance students.

1/6-7 – St. Pete Beach Corey Avenue Craft Festival
Free, 10am-5pm. Contemporary crafts from more than 100 of the nation’s most talented craft artisans. A variety of jewelry, pottery, ceramics, photography, painting, clothing and much more.. A Green Market with plants, orchids, exotic flora, handmade soaps, gourmet spices and freshly popped kettle corn.

1/7 – Gulf Coast Collectorfest
$10/under 12 free, 9am-4pm, Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center. 4951, 78th Ave. N, Pinellas Park. More than 50 tables of vintage and modern toys, Hot Wheels, retro-gaming, comics, artwork and more pop culture goodness. Free parking.

1/13-14 – St. Pete Bacon & BBQ Festival

1/14 – D’Angelo Young Artist Competition
Free, 4pm, Teco Theater, Straz Center, Tampa. This public performance will present the finalists in the D’Angelo Young Artist Vocal Competition. The audience will vote for their favorite artist performing two arias. Awards will be presented. Seating is limited. 

1/18-21 – St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show
$22/age 15 and under free, Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin, downtown St. Pete. A 40,000-square-foot tent will showcase marine gear, seminars on boating & fishing and fan favorites like kids fishing clinics. 1/19-21 – John’s Pass Seafood Festival
Free admission, Noon-6pm, For the last 42 years, the historic John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk in Madeira Beach Florida becomes a venue for a large celebration of fresh gulf seafood, the John’s Pass Seafood Festival. The three-day outdoor event features hundreds of local vendors offering a plethora of seafood, an art and crafts show, live music and various family-friendly activities.

1/20 – Third Annual Gulfport Rocks the 70s
$25-$30, 7-11 pm, Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd. S. 1/20 – Children’s Gasparilla Parade
Free, 4-6:15pm. This family-friendly parade takes place along Bayshore Boulevard from Bay-to-Bay Boulevard, moving north to Edison Avenue. It traditionally hosts more than 100 entry units, including krewes, marching bands, dance groups, school performance teams, and community organizations. Part of the larger Children’s Gasparilla event that begins at noon. Reserved seating available.

1/20-21 – -Curves and Angles:  Annual Japanese Floral Exhibition
Free, 10am-5pm Sat/10am-4pm Sun, Treasure Island Community Center. Ikebana International Chapter #65 will hold this elaborate exhibition of Japanese floral design with more than 50 flower arrangements created by members. Expect to see flowers arranged in many kinds of containers, using both natural elements and surprising sculptural components. 

1/28 – Classic Black
$20-$75, 5pm, The Palladium, St. Pete. This annual event, presented by the Woodson African American Museum of Florida in partnership with St. Petersburg Opera Company and The Palladium, showcases some of the area’s most talented Black classical performers. 2/3 – St. Olaf Choir Concert
$40 adults and seniors/$10 students, 7pm, First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Pete, Composed of 75 mixed voices, the choir is hailed as one of the nation’s premier a cappella ensembles, renowned for its artistry and beauty of sound. 2/9-3/29 – Born with Teeth

2/16-18 – Gasparilla Music Festival
$60 (two-days) and up, Julian B. Lane Park,1000 N. Boulevard,  Tampa. The two-day event will feature 50 bands performing on five stages at its new venue. Family-friendly performers at the Kids Fest 1-3pm on the 18th. Tickets at www.gmftickets.com
