Neighborhood Cleanup Results

832 pounds of trash removed in just 2.5 hours! Tampa Bay Watch is grateful to our hardy volunteers for braving the dreary weather in December by participating in our neighborhood cleanup of Bartlett and Roser Parks in St. Petersburg. Removed was 832 lbs. of trash in just 2.5 hours with 30 volunteers!

This project succeeded in its goal to prevent debris from entering our local waterways to ultimately improve the health of Tampa Bay. Thanks to our partners who helped make it happen: Suncoast Rise Above Plastics Coalition and the City of St. Petersburg.

Project: MacDill Air Force Base

TBW installed 608 Oyster domes at MacDill Air Force Base. Thank to our hard working volunteers who assisted with our oyster dome installation at MacDill Air Force Base. Creation of a series of oyster dome fields is an effort to restore lost habitat systems to the bay, prevent further erosion of the shoreline, and improve water quality through natural biological filtration.
