Holiday Spirit in Pinellas County

The Holiday Parade on St. Pete  Beach’s  Corey Ave. Dec. 9, starts at 10am at the circle by the Blue Parrot, west on Corey Ave, south on Blind Pass Rd. to 74th and back east. After the parade, the library is showing ‘How the Grinch stole Christmas’ and featuring photos with Santa and the Grinch. CABA is encouraging all shop owners on Corey Ave to decorate in a ‘Whoville’ theme, for this much anticipated annual event.

In addition to forwarding letters to Santa for locals and visitors, Chill Restaurant & Lounge is holding a COREY’s Got Talent event on Wednesday, Dec 13th, 7PM at the restaurant.

Mail to Santa dropped in front of the Treasure Island City Hall, 120 108th Ave. Dec 4 – 15th with return addresses will be answered by Santa’s Elves.

An Afternoon at the North Pole will be held Sat., Dec. 16th, 1 – 3 pm at the Treasure Island Comm Ctr, a block east of Gulf Blvd. on 106th Ave. Activities will include a visit from Santa and live holiday shows. Enjoy a magical afternoon cookie decorating, making holiday arts & crafts, train rides, face painting. Free.

Treasure Island Holiday Lighted Boat Parade & Celebration – Fri., Dec. 15th at The Club at Treasure Island, 400 Treasure Island Causeway. The Holiday Celebration begins at 4:30pm with the Boat Parade leaving the Club at 6:20pm. Bring an unwrapped NEW TOY or provide a cash donation for the “Christmas Toy Shop of Pinellas” or “The Edward’s Family Foundation” to the Recreation Department at City Hall or Treasure Bay on Paradise Boulevard by Thursday, December 14th to receive a family pass to watch the parade from a great vantage point, and participate in the events at the Club.  Live entertainment, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, cash bar and food will be served poolside.  For additional information, call the Club at (727) 367-4511, ext. 236. Recreational Camp for Children ages 5-12 years old – Tuesday, Dec. 26th through Friday, Jan. 5th from 8am to 5pm.  There will be no camp on New Years Day, Monday, January 1st, 2018.  Activities will include games, sports, arts & crafts, movies and field trips. Registration is at the Recreation Dept. office inside City Hall at 120 108th Ave. or at www.mytreasureisland.com Fees; $25/day or $80/wk f-TI residents, $30/day or $100/wk for non-residents of Treasure Island.
