Imagine an entire grocery store in a 2,000-square-foot space, and you’ll be pretty close.
If you’ve been to the Bayway Country Store and Butcher Shop, many things will feel familiar. Ryan’s dad is retiring. Ryan and his wife Elizabeth have invested heavily in buying the building at 6655 Gulf Blvd. and converting it for their use as their sensational Beach Meats store with a commercial kitchen in full view.
They have designed the store for both residents and visitors. You can grab and go with cold beers, a nice variety of wines, your favorite non-alcoholic beverages, but the resemblance to a convenience store ends there. Ryan says Beach Meats is actually a lot like the Publix store so many St. Pete Beach folks miss these days.
It’s a deli, with a fresh produce department, prepared to serve you Boar’s Head-based sandwiches and subs or all the ingredients you need to fix your own meal at home.

It is a real butcher shop, with a wide variety of cuts of meats and game already packaged for convenience, and custom cuts available upon request. They even offer a delicious “butcher burger” with all the fixings and a side of delicious French fries for under $10. Prepared meals designed to be heated up at home are available too. Prepared salads and sides are grab and go. The highest quality seafood, jumbo stone crab claws, fresh local fish, delicious-looking Scottish salmon are displayed in a refrigerated display case by the register. They bake their own pies and cookies too. Beach Meats is positioned to serve residents, vacationers, and anyone looking for quality ingredients for a memorable meal. The store’s arrival adds a convenient option for shoppers who appreciate personal service and neighborhood character.
Beach communities have a natural connection to casual entertaining, weekend cookouts, family dinners, and meals shared with friends. A neighborhood grocery with produce and meat market fits naturally into that lifestyle.
Whether customers are planning a backyard barbecue, preparing dinner after a day at the beach, or stocking up for guests, Beach Meats offers a convenient destination close to home and the area’s many popular gathering spots.
They have only been open a few months, but they’ve already earned numerous 5-star ratings on Yelp and Google. It’s a great place to grab snacks for home or your hotel room. They even have organic and grass-fed beef jerky.
You can get a better idea of the variety they carry by looking at all the photos posted on their Facebook page.
Beach Meats is open daily 10am-7pm except closed on Tuesdays. If you have questions, call 727-454-5856, visit their Facebook page or their website www.beach-meats.com.
When you go, even if they don’t ask, please let them know you read about their new store in Paradise News!
