People First Hurricane Recovery Programs
The Pinellas “People First” Hurricane Recovery Programs officially opened on October 20, 2025. These programs provide financial assistance for homeowners, renters, and landlords impacted by recent hurricanes across Pinellas County. Funded through an $813,783,000 Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the initiative focuses on rebuilding homes, restoring housing stability, and supporting long-term recovery for those most affected. City of St. Pete Beach Phishing Scam Alert
The City of St. Pete Beach has been made aware of a phishing scam targeting individuals who recently submitted planning or zoning applications. The scam involves sending applicants fake invoices requesting payment that appear to come from the City. Fraudulent emails are being sent from “planning.st.petebeach.org@usa.com” and “planningstpetebeach@usa.com”.
