On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at approximately 2:45 PM, St. Pete Beach Fire  Rescue responded to a three-alarm commercial structure fire at the CVS Pharmacy located in  Dolphin Village on Gulf Boulevard. Bill Edwards Foundation Celebrates Educators

Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts will host an Educator Appreciation Event on Tuesday, May 27th 6-8pm at Duke Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater. The event will celebrate local teachers and allow them to learn more about the Foundation’s CLASS ACTS programming and the free field trips available to schools in a six-county area. Educators who have yet to experience a Class Acts performance are encouraged to attend and discover how these programs can be incorporated into their curriculum, offering students a chance to engage with the arts in the coming school year. Walk to the Beach Day is set for May 23rd

Friday, May 23rd The City of Madeira Beach will be participating in The City of Treasure Island, Florida’s Walk to the Beach Day! Inspired by “Walk to School Day,” this beachside stroll promotes pedestrian safety, community connection, and the simple joy of walking, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Madeira Beach will have 3 stations with staff members to help get pedestrians across Gulf Blvd safely.

Indian Shores Paid Parking Reinstated May 16th

Paid parking will be reinstated at the Nature Park, McEwen Park and Town Hall parking lots in Indian Shores this Friday, May 16th, beginning at 7am. Parking will remain at $2.50/hr. until further notice.
