Macrame Workshop at the Morean
Head out to Morean Arts Center on Saturday, July 12th 1-4pm for their Contemporary Macrame for Creative Expression Workshop. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art of macramé, focusing on its contemporary applications as a tool for creative expression and mindful making. Participants will learn basic knotting techniques like square knots, half hitch knots and ark’s head knots while exploring how to create functional and decorative textile pieces like plant hangers and side bags among others. The focus of this workshop will be on material exploration, individual creativity and building confidence through craft. Open to all skill levels, this course encourages experimentation and self expression. $60 plus $20 materials fee due at the start of class.
