#1 Gasparilla Pirate Fest
Avast, Tampa Bay! The pirates are taking over Tampa this Saturday, January 31st, as the legendary Gasparilla Pirate Fest returns in full swashbuckling glory. Hosted by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, Gasparilla has been Tampa’s signature celebration since 1904. More than 500 pirate ships will sail into the bay, followed by an epic parade down Bayshore Boulevard featuring 68 colorful krewes, 120 floats, and nonstop spectacle. With over 300,000 revelers lining the route, expect cannon blasts, beads, and pirate-powered fun—you don’t want to miss this local tradition.

#2 Three Shows at The Mahaffey
Three great shows are coming to The Mahaffey in downtown St. Pete this weekend. First up is Neil Diamond Legacy Concert on Friday, January 30th. #3 SPO present Giulio Cesare
Step into ancient Egypt this weekend as St. Pete Opera brings Handel’s sweeping masterpiece Giulio Cesare in Egitto to the Palladium. Set in 48 BC, the opera follows the dramatic first encounter between Julius Caesar and Cleopatra, where power, deceit, murder, and passion unfold through Handel’s soaring music. With spectacular sets, lavish costumes, and stunning live vocals, this epic production runs Friday, January 30th; Sunday, February 1st and Tuesday, February 3rd in downtown St. Pete.
#4 The Scarlet Letter
This weekend American Stage opens its newest production- a bold reimagining of The Scarlet Letter, exploring “original sin,” shame, and rebellion in early America. Hester Prynne defies a rigid society as she fights to live freely and raise her daughter in the Massachusetts Bay colony. As secrets unravel between Hester, her guilt-ridden lover, and her vengeful husband, the story asks: which sins are truly unforgivable? This powerful production reveals how violence, superstition, and hard truths shaped the nation we know today. Shows are Wednesday to Sunday thru February 15.

Join The Dalí for their final evening shows of Van Gogh Alive 360° in The Dalí Dome. Step into the immersive world of Van Gogh in The Dalí Dome, where nearly 40-foot-tall circular walls bring his paintings to life, set to a stirring classical score. The experience guides you chronologically through his work, from early explorations to iconic masterpieces like Sunflowers and Starry Night, revealing his thoughts, emotions and evolving vision between 1880 and 1890.
