#1 Fifth Annual Run for the Beaches 5K & Fun Run Walk, and Kids Turtle Dash

Head out to Gulf Front Park in Treasure Island this Saturday for the 5th Annual Run for the Beaches! The morning starts with a chip-timed 5K race, then a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk and a Kids Turtle Dash. Proceeds benefit Gulf Beaches ecosystems, marine life, seabirds and endangered sea turtles. Register at Runforthebeaches.org

#2 Honeymoon Island Bluegrass Festival

Head up to Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin this Saturday, December 6th 11am-5pm for their annual Bluegrass Festival. Fast Track, The Tennessee Bluegrass Band, and Headin’ Home Bluegrass will play. Lawn chair seating. Coolers ok but no alcohol, Dog friendly. Park entry not included in price. $25. Kids 12 and under are free.

#3 Ride & Run with the Stars

Ride and Run with the Stars (Pinellas County Sheriffs) throughout Fort De Soto County Park this Saturday, December 6th! 8am Registration at North Beach. There will be a 5K chipped race Family Fun Run, 10K Family Ride, and 25 Mile Bike Ride. $50/$55. Supports Pinellas Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project.

#4 Safety Harbor Sip & Shop

Join the City of Safety Harbor in celebrating the season by enjoying their beautiful downtown this Friday, December 5th for their annual Sip & Shop on Main Street! Shopping & Sipping specials start at 5pm, gazebo activities begin at 6pm- choir, tree lighting, and a visit from Santa! Plus, Victorian Carolers will be visiting various shops and restaurants from 7-9pm. Wrap it up at the Chamber’s self-service wrapping station available all weekend long. Free.

#5 Holiday Lights in the Garden

Pinellas County’s Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo is celebrating 25 years of Holiday Lights. Experience the magic of a million twinkling lights from 5:30-9:30 pm every evening from November 28th through January 3rd. Bring the whole family to enjoy music, drinks & delights. There is something for everyone to do under the lights.
