DESCRIPTION:There has been a big band at the St. Petersburg Coliseum in downtown St. Petersburg as long as I can remember. Renee’s acrobatic dance act was part of the show there in 1970\, on our first New Years together as college sweethearts. We celebrated my birthday that night. I turned 19 that night\, but I told Renee that I was 24. The following April\, I fessed up and proposed. \nThe spectacular St. Petersburg Coliseum provides historic swing-era ambiance and an unparalleled 15\,000 square foot oak dance floor and is located at 535 Fourth Ave. N\, St. Petersburg. Live entertainment provided by the eight-piece swinging BLUES WALK BAND with The Bluesette Singers Shelby Sol and Emily Gail. There are swing dance lessons 8-9pm and live music/dancing from 9pm-1am with a balloon drop at midnight.  Enjoy party favors\, noisemakers\, chocolates\, and prize giveaways and be sure to get your photo taken in your dress-to-impress outfit\, be it modern or vintage glam. DESCRIPTION: New Year’s Eve Revelers looking for places to go for New Year’s Eve need to look no further than TradeWinds’ “Toast by the Coast” New Year’s Eve Event which takes place from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the TradeWinds Island Grand Ballroom. Partiers 21 and over are invited to don their best duds for an evening of festivities\, food\, and fun. DJ Lorenzo will keep everyone on the dance floor until the wee hours. Guests can strike a pose in the photo booth\, will enjoy an open bar and will receive a glass of bubbly and noisemakers for the champagne toast at midnight. DESCRIPTION:The 18th Annual St. Pete Beach Classic will be January 13 – 16\, 2023. This year will have several events and multiple races for all ages. There will be a Health and Fitness Expo at the St Pete Beach Rec Center on Friday Jan 13th.   The rest of the weekend is all hosted at The Sirata Beach Resort & Conference Center Jan 14-16.  There is a kids race for children\, a beach fun run Saturday evening\, a timed 5K and 10K on Saturday and Half Marathon Sunday – there is also the B2B2B challenge. \n\n\n\nChildren 8 and under\, and seniors 80+ are FREE. There will be bonfires\, parties\, beer\, drinks and food for all participating athletes to enjoy the #1 Beach in America. \n\n\n\nThe St. Pete Beach Classic is a non-profit race and supports other local non-profit organizations in the good they do for our community.
