DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy Southwest Florida’s premier architectural home tour returning for its 24th season!  This year’s exciting experience explores architectural diversity and showcases 11 homes spotlighting our urban rebirth and the phenomenon of living large in small spaces. Renovations & Restorations will feature Craftsman Bungalows\, Tudor\, Ranch and Mid-Century Modern homes and a very special tour of Historic St. Petersburg High School recently completely restored. The tour also includes Public Art Installations throughout Historic Kenwood and invited artists’ works displayed in tour homes. Find out why Kenwood is known for being the neighborhood of the Arts in St. Petersburg. Covid protocols will be observed to assure your best experience. \nCheck in and registration begin at St. Petersburg High School at 2501 5th Ave. N. Stroll or use the free continuous Trolleys which transport guests throughout the neighborhood to view the selected Tour Homes. Tickets are $20.00 and are available on line www.historickenwood.org  Tickets will also be available at St. Petersburg High School on the day of the event for $25.00. Additionally a silent auction will occur at the High School on the event day with items provided by local businesses. Last bids by 3:00pm.  \n \nBungalowFest draws hundreds of visitors each year and the neighborhood is delighted to again welcome everyone to the beautiful brick lined streets of this uniquely significant area of St. Petersburg\, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. DESCRIPTION:Come see Treasure Island’s beach come to life at the 2022 Sanding Ovations presents “Once Upon a Time\,” Nov. 17-20\, 2022. See what happens when master sculptors use their imaginations and turn piles of sand and buckets of water into “outSANDing” works of art. Best of all\, this year’s event will extend into a second weekend\, Nov. 26-27. \nThe masterful exhibition of sand sculpting talent at a world-class level is a big appeal\, supplemented by the sponsor sculptures created by Treasure Island’s own Meredith and Dan Doubleday of Sanding Ovations professional sand sculptors.  This year’s “Once Upon a Time” wonderland will be created through the imaginations of sculptors Sue McGrew\, Deborah Barrett-Cutulle\, Melineige Beauregard\,  Benoit Dutherage\, Fergus Mulvany\, Damon Meri\, Abe Waterman and Bruce Phillips. \nThere is plenty of room to spread out at the beach food court\, beer garden and arts and crafts marketplace. Kites and night fly’s will be provided by Windworks of Maderia Beach. With fireworks lighting up the night sky on Saturday\, and local\, regional\, and national touring bands making waves throughout the event\, “Once Upon a Time” is a must-see experience in beautiful Treasure Island. \nSanding Ovations presents “Once Upon a Time” is free and open to the public. \nHistory of Sanding Ovations \nFlorida was also home to the world’s largest sandcastle in 1985. Florida Governor Jeb Bush proclaimed Treasure Island as the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida in 2001. This is what helped lead to the creation of Sanding Ovations\, an annual sand sculpting exhibition and competition. Master sand sculptors from around the world come to Treasure Island to create sand masterpieces for everyone to enjoy.
