DESCRIPTION:Atlantic hurricane season started June 1st and runs through November 30th. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts a 65% chance of an above-average storm season this year and residents are encouraged to plan ahead. Fire Chief David Mixson and Deputy Fire Chief Emery Culverhouse will be holding virtual hurricane preparedness presentations to share information about evacuation plans\, supply lists\, alert systems\, and what to do after a storm event. Members of the public can log in to watch the presentations and will be given opportunities to ask questions. The presentations will also be broadcast live on the City’s government channel\, Spectrum channel 643.
