DESCRIPTION:On Saturday and Sunday\, November 13th and 14th\, Creative Pinellas will host our Arts Annual Weekend\, virtual festival\, and fundraiser featuring leading Pinellas County artists and performers. Historically an evening gala\, Creative Pinellas is pivoting in 2021 to an outdoor affair in our courtyard with the addition of dance\, music\, poetry\, food trucks\, live painters\, and a gallery exhibition with over 100 art pieces on display and available for sale. \nThe Arts Annual group exhibition will return to the Gallery at Creative Pinellas November 11th through December 19th\, 2021. The exhibition will feature the artwork of over 30 artists\, from innovative up-and-coming creators to internationally recognized artists. From the beginning\, Creative Pinellas has invited former Professional and Emerging Artist Grantees to exhibit their work or perform live. As part of the 2021 Arts Annual events\, the exhibit will also be accessible to the public remotely\, in an online gallery. The virtual gallery is an immersive experience\, allowing visitors to walk through a virtual space from their cell phone\, tablet\, or desktop computer. The artwork will be available for purchase both in the gallery at Creative Pinellas and online. \nFeatured performers and live artists include Helen French\, EMIT Trio\, Ricardo Delgado\, Linda Costa\, Alex Jones\, Jon Ditty\, Victoria Jorgensen\, Jujmo\, Tenea D. DESCRIPTION:The Centre SPB and Triverde Health has collaborated with Flag Hero\,1620 Marine\, Florida Cannabis Coach and their team to organize this day of appreciation for all who serve and have served our country along with their families and supporters. \nThe purpose of this annual Veterans event is to conduct and demonstrate how to perform a proper flag retirement ceremony\, provide education and awareness about PTSD and Veteran suicide. The flag retirement ceremony will be performed by our very own MacDill Air force Honor Guard and will be open to the public at no charge. There is a FREE outdoor component to the event and a ticketed indoor component. We will have guest speakers educating on topics to help our Veterans such as natural remedies to combat depression and the benefits of medical marijuana. \nWhy is it called Wellness Challenge 22? SUMMARY:Boca Ciega Yacht Club's 36th Annual Lighted Christmas Boat Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Boca Ciega Yacht Club (BCYC)\, a not-for-profit organization\, is announcing the 36th year of its Lighted Christmas Boat Parade which will be held on Saturday\, December 11\, 2020 beginning at 6:00 pm. BCYC conducts the boat parade to generate donations and other support for the Gulfport Police Department’s ‘Operation Santa’ charity which provides gifts to children whose Christmas’s would otherwise be less joyous without the generous support of the Gulfport community. This year will mark BCYC’s 21st year of proudly supporting this wonderful program. \nThe Annual Lighted Christmas Boat Parade is an all-volunteer event organized by the members of BCYC and their invited guests and is an event happily shared with the residents of Gulfport\, South Pasadena\, and St. Petersburg. Members spend many hours planning and decorating their boats for maximum enjoyment. We are again asking local businesses to help support our boat captains by donating gift certificates to be used as boat prizes. We’re proud of the fact that our boat captains all receive a prize for their hard work and bragging rights for their decorations. Last year’s winner\, Lee Nell’s boat and crew MeeShee won for their “Buh-Bye 2020!” theme. \nPlease note that the parade route has changed again this year to accommodate the home ports of more of the parade participants. The parade will begin by entering the Gulfport Municipal Marina at approximately 6:00 pm. It will then travel past the William’s Pier & Casino in Gulfport\, past the beaches and into the canals of Town Shores\, Pelican Bay\, Skimmer’s Point\, Bayview Circle\, past a portion of Kipps Colony and near PYCC\, then along Dolphin Blvd to the Pasadena Golf Club Estates before swinging across the bay to Isla del Sol before returning to our slips. \nThere is an entry fee for each boat of two unwrapped toys or a monetary donation (checks must be made out to “Operation Santa”). Both sail and power boats are welcome to join in the fun and this event is open to both members and non-members.
