SUMMARY:MFA's Painting in the Park Reimagined
DESCRIPTION:The MFA’s annual arts event is connecting with the community in a new way! This year\, in lieu of painting in the park\, we’ve assembled 500 art kits to give away to 500 kids across St. Pete\, allowing them to experience the art at the MFA in a fun and creative way. The kits are focused on four paintings on loan from the Art Bridges foundation\, and include lesson guides\, art-making supplies and a family pass to the MFA. To distribute the kits\, we are proud to partner with the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum\, Cultured Books\, Brookwood Florida\, NOMAD Art Bus\, and others. A select number of kits will also be distributed outside the MFA on April 24 from 10-11:30 am.

SUMMARY:SNOW DAYS at the Florida Aquarium
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Florida Aquarium is safely bringing back one of Tampa Bay’s most popular Holiday traditions\, Snow Days\, with new and safe ways to play. From December 26-31st\, guests can engage in a snowball-throwing contest on the Aquarium’s rooftop. Guests will be able to toss snowballs at “sea monster” targets\, in order to fight ocean pollution. These targets will be made up of items that cause ocean pollution such as plastic bags or bottles. \nThis event is a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to enjoy real snow in Florida! This event will also feature real snow for guests to create their own snowman or snow creation. Snow will be falling on the outdoor plaza\, and there will be socially distant dance parties where guests can enjoy the snow while listening to Holiday classics. \nVisitors can enjoy Snow Days with extended hours at the Aquarium all week long from 9:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. \nThe Aquarium has many other Holiday events to make the Holiday season special. DESCRIPTION:December 19th will be a special day here in St. Pete Beach.  Santa and his crew will be driving through our beach town beginning at 10am.  Santa’s team will be sharing the route with us soon so we can all plan to create signs\, decorate and celebrate in a safe way this year. \nParents and Guardians\, here is a message especially for you! \nTo experience some extra special personalized magic from Santa Claus during the parade we invite you to make a fun custom sign for Santa on one side of the sign. On the other side write your kid/kids names large as possible in a big black marker. When Santa Claus is passing by your house and the kids are waving to him. You the parents will flip the sign around. It is important to make sure the kids can not see this happening. ( this is when you parents become Magicians and help with the magic) Santa will then personally say Merry Christmas to your kids with their names. Your kids will be so happy and shocked that Santa Claus knows their name/names personally. We look forward to creating this very nice and special experience for your kids during this holiday season.
