DESCRIPTION:Florida Botanical Gardens invites you to Holiday Lights in the Garden event from Friday\, November 23 – Sunday\, December 31\, 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. weather permitting. \n\nBright holiday lights will shine again in Pinellas County this year. The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation and Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources department look forward to sharing the beautiful lights that will be displayed at the 18th annual Holiday Lights in the Garden event at Florida Botanical Gardens\, 12520 Ulmerton Rd.\, Largo. The family-friendly event will run from Friday\, Nov. 26\, through Sunday\, Dec. 31\, from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.\, weather permitting. A donation of $5 per person is suggested for guests over the age of 13. \nMore than 1 million lights will be displayed at Florida Botanical Gardens\n•    Santa will visit regularly through Dec. 23\n•    Event updates available via “Holiday Lights in the Gardens” Hotline: (727) 582-5800 \nNew this year will be expanded pathways and displays following the Gardens’ newly opened Wetlands Walkway. More than 1 million twinkling\, colorful LED lights of all shapes and sizes will attract visitors to the Gardens from near and far. The Train Guys will be back again for the opening weekend of the event and will have their trains in the Wedding Garden\, surrounding this year’s new holiday tree. \nSanta will visit regularly throughout the event through Dec. 23\, but families looking to get a picture should call in advance to see which night he’ll attend. \nEach evening of Holiday Lights in the Gardens includes fun food\, drinks and ice cream. DESCRIPTION:PAVA’s 32nd Annual Cool Art Show is back and better than ever as it returns to the historic St. Petersburg Coliseum in St. Petersburg\, Florida on Saturday\, July 24\, 10am – 5pm\, and Sunday\, July 25\, 10am – 4pm\, showcasing the best of fine art and fine craft of some of the area’s premier artists. \nThis year’s show will include approximately 60 Florida artisans that have been selected to exhibit in this impressive collection of both visual and functional art in the mediums of paint\, wood\, ceramics\, photography\, metal\, glass\, fiber\, digital\, mixed media and jewelry. It features professional fine artists and fine craftsmen who are extremely skilled in their chosen art. Many have received multiple awards at high-end art shows and are represented in both galleries and museums worldwide. This show provides a great opportunity to discover and shop new art\, talk directly to the artists who created it\, and learn about the skills and technique used in their creation process. \nIn addition to the show\, PAVA will also hold special Preview and Encore events at The Cool Art Shop\, their home base and store\, located at 1240 County Road 1 in Dunedin\, Florida. During these two events\, patrons can see and shop the artwork of participating Cool Art Show artists before and after the show. \nThe Cool Art Show Preview will take place July 7th – 17th\, with an open house reception July 9th from 4-8pm. The Cool Art Show Encore will take place July 28th – August 14th. Both the Preview and Encore exhibits are open to the public during the shop’s summer business hours\, Wednesday-Saturday\, 11am – 4pm. \nThe Coliseum is located at 535 4th Avenue North. Show hours are 10am -5pm Saturday and 10am – 4pm Sunday\, and the Coliseum’s food and beverage concessions will be open to the public\, including beer and wine. Show Admission and parking are free. \nThis juried fine art and fine craft show is sponsored by PAVA\, the Professional Association of Visual Artists. PAVA\, the Professional Association of Visual Artists\, is a non-profit organization run by volunteer artists to serve local artisans and support the arts community in the Tampa Bay Area. It provides exhibition\, education and grant opportunities for its members\, as well as offers its members’ artwork for sale at its shop\, “The Cool Art Shop\,” located at 1240 County Road 1\, Dunedin. Additionally\, PAVA supports local art centers\, and is a local sponsor of the Pinellas County Regional National Scholastic Art Awards where scholarships are provided to students for art instruction.

DESCRIPTION:Join the City of Madeira Beach as we Celebrate Independence Day for a spectacular fireworks show. The 4th of July Fireworks are Presented by the City of Madeira Beach and The Alligator & Wildlife Discovery Center located in John’s Pass Village. Fireworks will be launched at approximately 9:00pm from the Madeira Beach Fundamental School athletics field. For safety reasons\, viewing of fireworks will not be permitted on school property or on the the beach located near the base of the bridge. Viewing may take place at ROC Park but attendees are encouraged to car pool and plan accordingly regarding limited parking. More information will follow as to where people may view and park.\n\n\n\nParking Information\nLimited parking is available at R.O.C. Park (2oo Rex Place) and City Hall (300 Municipal Drive). Parking is also available at Archibald Memorial Beach Park for $2.50 an hour. Additional parking is available around the Madeira Way area in numerous paid parking lots (non-city operated). Viewing is also available on the water via boat outside of the fall out zone. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office will be onsite maintaining the fall out zone.\n\n*Please be aware that traffic patterns may be affected after the fireworks in an effort to get everyone in and out of Madeira Beach safely.*
