SUMMARY:Ikebana Annual Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Ikebana International Chapter #65 of Saint Petersburg will hold its 61st Annual Exhibition March 4-6\, 2022 at the Treasure Island Community Center. Free and open to the public\, this elaborate exhibition of Japanese floral design\, known as ikebana\, will feature more than fifty stunning flower arrangements\, all created by members of the chapter. This year’s theme is Wondrous Wood. Those attending can expect to see many shapes\, sizes and varieties of wood\, from driftwood to sculptural branches\, woven into the floral arrangements. Typically\, in ikebana\, the containers or vases in which arrangements are staged are ceramic\, but this year expect to see many made out of wood\, including a number of exquisite baskets created from bamboo or vines.

SUMMARY:Skyway 10K
DESCRIPTION:To date\, the SKYWAY BRIDGE RUN™ has raised more than $1.8 million for the Armed Forces Families Foundation! One hundred percent of every race registration fee dollar goes to fund projects that support the families of our service members. Since 2018\, the Armed Forces Families Foundation has been able to contribute nearly $2 million back into our communities for infrastructure projects that benefit the families of our military. \nThe first Sunday in March\, runners and walkers of all levels cross over the span of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg\, Florida. Covering three Florida counties\, the bridge serves as the breathtaking setting and 6.2-mile course for a once-in-a-lifetime race. Each year\, 100% of all proceeds benefit the Armed Forces Families Foundation and support our military and their families! \nVIP registration will cost $300 per person and features access to free food and drinks\, VIP restrooms\, a gaming area\, and VIP swag at the VIP tent on race weekend\, both during the race expo on Saturday and on race day on Sunday at Tropicana Field. \nUnlike the 2021 race\, which was held virtually\, the 2022 race is scheduled to resume being held in person. However\, race officials will continue to monitor guidance and recommendations from the CDC and the Florida Department of Health. \nClick Here to Volunteer
